Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Outcalled, prediction markets, and how to get started.
About Outcalled
What is Outcalled?
Outcalled is a free prediction game platform where you test your forecasting skills using real market data from Polymarket. Play daily games, compete in battles, and see how well you can predict real-world outcomes. No account or money required to play.
Is Outcalled free to play?
Yes, Outcalled is completely free. All seven game modes are available without signing up or paying anything. You can optionally subscribe to daily email reminders, but the games will always be free.
How does Outcalled work?
Outcalled pulls real prediction market data from Polymarket and turns it into fun games. In the Daily Game, for example, you see 5 resolved markets and guess whether each outcome happened (Yes) or not (No). Your score is calculated instantly and you can share it with friends.
Who created Outcalled?
Outcalled was created by an independent team passionate about making prediction markets accessible to everyone. We are not affiliated with Polymarket. We earn revenue through their affiliate program when users decide to trade on the platform.
Game Modes
What is the Daily Game?
The Daily Game is Outcalled's core experience. Every day, 5 resolved prediction markets are selected. You guess Yes or No on each one, get your score instantly, and can share a score card with your streak. New markets every day at midnight UTC.
What is Battle Mode?
Battle Mode is a head-to-head prediction game. You and an opponent both see 5 markets and swipe Tinder-style to predict Yes or No. After both finish, scores are compared and a winner is declared. It is fast, competitive, and addictive.
What is Speed Round?
Speed Round gives you 20 prediction markets and 60 seconds on the clock. You need to make quick Yes or No calls as fast as possible. It tests your instincts and speed. Your final score combines accuracy with time remaining.
What is Margin Call?
Margin Call is the precision game mode. Instead of picking Yes or No, you guess the exact probability percentage of each market. The closer your guess is to the real market price, the higher you score. It rewards deep market knowledge.
What is Prediction Parlay?
Prediction Parlay is a double-or-nothing game mode. You chain correct predictions together, with your score multiplying after each one. But one wrong call and you lose everything. It is high risk, high reward, and incredibly tense.
What is Category Blitz?
Category Blitz lets you pick your strongest topic (politics, crypto, sports, pop culture, and more) and then face 10 markets in that category with 45 seconds on the clock. It is perfect if you have deep knowledge in a specific area.
What is Streak Challenge?
Streak Challenge is an infinite mode where you keep predicting markets until you get one wrong. Your goal is to build the longest streak possible. Each correct prediction adds to your chain, and one miss ends it all.
How are scores calculated in Outcalled?
Scoring depends on the game mode. In the Daily Game, you earn 1 point per correct prediction out of 5. In Margin Call, your score is based on how close your probability estimate is. In Speed Round, time remaining adds bonus points. Each mode has its own scoring system designed to reward the right skills.
Prediction Markets
What are prediction markets?
Prediction markets are platforms where people trade on the outcomes of future events. Traders buy and sell shares that pay out based on whether something happens or not. The market price reflects the crowd's estimated probability of that outcome. They cover everything from elections to sports to crypto prices.
Are prediction markets legal?
Prediction markets operate in a complex legal landscape that varies by country. Polymarket, the platform that powers Outcalled's data, is a regulated platform. However, access and legality depend on your jurisdiction. Always check your local laws before trading on any platform.
How accurate are prediction markets?
Prediction markets are among the most accurate forecasting tools available. Because real money is at stake, traders are incentivized to be as accurate as possible. Research has shown that prediction markets often outperform polls, expert panels, and statistical models, especially close to an event.
What is Polymarket?
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. Traders buy and sell shares on real-world outcomes using USDC (a digital dollar). It covers thousands of markets across politics, crypto, sports, business, and more. Outcalled uses Polymarket's public API to power all of its games.
